Daily routine?

Al hamdulillah wa sallallahu wasallim ala nabiyyina muhammad.

Though I'm sure it's not something that you guys ponder over when you're holding that mug of Pakki/Paki Chaa between your hands, but the thought may just have cross your minds as to what does Abdullah get up to on a more normal day (e.g. when he's not being searched for WMD's on entering al-Qadisiyya).

Well Al Hamadulillah DHA Phase I Jami'ah Masjid (basically my local) is a very easy going masjid. We have a Deobandi Imam who just got his PhD in Islamiat (Punjab Uni) is knows MA Arabic and is a Gold Medalist of some sort at University level Urdu. So he's what we call (para likhha). So for some years now Qari Sahib has been doing a dars after fajr basically taking 2-3 verses everyday and providing some commentry and linguistic analysis. He often refers to ibn Katheer, but you do get the odd story of a Sufi Master who came up with some karamah or so. Still, may Allah reward him greatly, his teaching of the Qur'an is a huge blessing. This circle is attended by 20-30 people on the average, as I said straight after fajar. Admittedly, it is mostly our senior citizens who make up 97% of the audience. Al Hamdulillah we are studying Surat-ul-Isra (Bani Isra'eel in some copies) currently.

Then there is another Qur'an circle after that, which is more interactive and is mostly geared towards correcting tajweed. This is taught by the 2nd Qari sahib (Vice Imam?). I used to attend this but now I have had to decide how much I can take on a regular basis. As the hadith says with words to the effect of: "The best actions are those that are done regularly though they my be small." Instead I have had to use this time to try to maintain what Allah has allowed me to memorise. But in this circle we have reached till Surat-ul-Hajj.

I just thought I should give an idea of what is available Islamically speaking on a daily basis. From time to time I may refer to some of the discussions in these circles, as this is usually a highlight of my day.

Question: Are the haji brothers back: Waqas, Amjad, Ata-ul-Qadeer, Faisal, Imran Azam and many others I'm forgetting? May Allah accept from us and from them and grant us tawfeeq also to fulfil this glorious act.

Okay bro's got to go.

wassalamu alaikum

Abdullah
